About Jasper Ridge LLC
Jasper Ridge is not a person or a place, it’s both! At Jasper Ridge we are very passionate about what we do. When it came to the business name it was no different. There is a strong personal meaning behind the name.
Jasper is derived from a name of the man that ignited my career in landscaping. I was 14 years old and he hired me to help him landscape his backyard. That summer I helped him install a flagstone boulder retaining wall, plant trees and shrubs, install irrigation and many other tasks. He did more than simply start my career in the green industry. Jasper resembles the man that fueled my desire to be a business owner. He was a business owner and we often had long conversations about this subject of entrepreneurship.
Ridge is a term to describe landscape topography. But when I think of ridge, I think of the hills I rode dirt bikes on as a teenager. I grew up in the Western Slope of Colorado where the landscape is much different. This part of the name reminds me that life isn’t only about working hard; but stopping and taking time to enjoy it. The Adobe Hills were desolate and barren. As a landscape company we are able to bring beauty to even the most undesirable places. The best part of our job is seeing brown turn to green.
Jasper Ridge combined makes the perfect company name. Life is about balance. Together hard work and play make for the most enjoyable use of our time. Let us do the heavy lifting for you so you can make the most of your landscape experience.
ABOUT CARSON JENSEN
From a young age I dreamed of owning my own business. When playing games with my siblings, my favorite was to play town and be a business owner. In my teen years I continued to have a passion for business. My love of landscaping began to grow at this time. I would often come to my parents asking for funds to improve their landscaping. They quickly found a nearby neighbor that needed help on his landscaping. My parents were wise because this not only provided an outlet for my passion but also gave relief to the constant asking for funding on their yard.
After High School while attending college I started working for a luxury residential landscape company. It was there where I learned many of the necessary trade skills. I also learned the definition of quality work. After college I began working for a commercial maintenance contractor. Shortly after beginning my employment I convinced this employer to allow me to manage their landscape install division. After 5 years I was able to grow this installation division to more than 3x the original revenue.
Now that I have started my own company I am able to combine the different aspects of my experience and use them to provide the level of service my clients expect. One of the biggest joys for me is seeing the improvement in a project from start to finish. My highest priority is to provide not only quality work but also a high level of customer satisfaction and trust. I truly appreciate the opportunity to work with each and every client. It means so much to earn your business.
